Trans-Control & Trans-Training Projects: Press Conference and Open door Events
A Look Back at the Launch of the Trans-Control and Trans-Training Projects
Two new projects have joined the Biocontrol 4.0 portfolio, selected under the Interreg VI France–Wallonia–Flanders (FWVL) programme:
Trans-Control (Climate & Environment) aims to test biocontrol solutions, combined with digital tools, under real-life conditions.
Trans-Training (Social Cohesion) offers cross-border training, information resources, and entrepreneurship support for stakeholders in the biocontrol sector.
The official launch took place on July 8, 2025, during a press conference held both in-person and online (with simultaneous translation in French and Dutch) from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
On the in-person side, participants were welcomed at various locations:
Polytech-Lille (Room AB04) on the French side,
CARAH and Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech on the Walloon side,
Viaverda on the Flemish side.
The event began with a presentation of the Trans-Manage project (lead project of the Biocontrol 4.0 portfolio) by Valérie Leclère, followed by Louis Lippens who presented Trans-Control, and concluded with a talk on Trans-Training by François Krier.
These presentations were followed by an insightful Q&A session, featuring lively exchanges with the audience on the challenges of biocontrol, training, and innovation in agriculture.
In Lille, the press conference was followed by a visit to the BioEcoAgro laboratory (ULille), offering journalists and other curious visitors a behind-the-scenes look at our research.
The morning event brought together a diverse audience: PhD students, interns, teachers, engineers, journalists, and other enthusiasts of biocontrol and agricultural innovation
Together, we are advancing sustainable agriculture!
